The Team

Hi. My name is Nisha Shastry and I am a senior attending Redmond High School in Redmond. Outside of school, I've always been well involved in STEM activities; I am the President and 7-year competitor of Science Olympiad, taking home numerous gold, silver, and bronze medals in the Regional and State Championships, and I am the President of the Washington Student Math Association, where we teach the applications of mathematics often neglected in the common classroom to young learners. However, I also love to explore my creative side; as President of the Creative Writing Club, I help other students diversify their knowledge of writing through numerous projects and programs while continuing to develop my own skills as an artist.

I have a passion for helping students get a head start in their futures. I believe that students shouldn't have to pay large sums of money to receive the proper tools and guidance to grow as a learner. Here at HeadStart, my goal is to provide students with the resources they need in order to succeed in school and beyond.
